Li Ning is one of the most well known athletes in China. He is one of the first athletes to receive the Olympic gold medal and is the athlete that lit the Olympic torch for the opening of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. LiNing also owns one of the biggest and most well known sports clothing stores in China. Over the years he also has supported AOS in a variety of ways, from taking the AOS children out to Beijing, to hosting events for them to enjoy.
